Most "digital marketing gurus" have never actually marketed anything.

They marketed themselves.

And they convinced you that's the same thing.

It's not.

There's a massive difference between building a personal brand around teaching marketing and actually doing the work of marketing a real product to a real audience that doesn't already follow you.

One is performance.

The other is business.

I've spent 25+ years doing the second one.

For brands. For clients. In classrooms. In boardrooms.

And here's what I know:

The loudest voices in digital marketing are often the least tested ones.

They grew fast in a specific window when growth was easy.

They turned that growth into a course about growth.

And now they're selling you the map to a territory that doesn't exist anymore.

The tactics that worked in 2020 don't work in 2026.

The algorithm that rewarded them is not the algorithm you're fighting today.

Before you buy the course, ask one question:

When did they last build something from scratch with no audience, no team, no existing platform?

If they can't answer that, they're not teaching marketing.

They're teaching mythology. Smoke and Mirrors
